Travel Consultant

We continue to recruit and are always on the lookout for well-travelled, energetic people to join our exceptional team. We work long hours, including weekends, in a busy sales environment but there's a lively, sociable atmosphere as well as fabulous travel opportunities, and one of the industry's best salary packages. So, what do we ask for in return?

What skills/experience do I need to be a Travel Consultant?

• Trailfinders Travel Consultants encourage and assist their clients with their travel plans, however ultimately need to be able to sell our extensive range of products and services to these clients. As a consequence we look for proven sales ability to be demonstrated throughout the recruitment process.
• The ideal consultant will be genuinely enthusiastic and energetic, with a solid educational background and have an extensive list of their own independent travel.
• We tailormake every client's travel arrangements on an individual basis and in a professional manner therefore organisational skills and attention to detail are extremely important.
• Trailfinders caters for a wide client base with very high expectations therefore it is essential that you can offer outstanding customer service at all times.
• We do not require any previous travel industry experience as we provide an excellent in-house training programme to all new travel consultants.
• You will also need the drive and determination to thrive in an often pressurised and busy sales environment.

Travel requirements?

We believe that personal independent travelling experience is essential, not only in order to maintain our excellent and well-deserved reputation as 'The Travel Experts', but also to continue in exceeding our clients expectations. Therefore candidates will need to prove an exceptional geographical awareness.

Travel consultants must have recently travelled extensively to at least three of the following regions: Europe, Asia, Africa, North or South America.

• Current Resume.
• A list of your first hand travel experience.

STAGE 2

If successful, you will then be invited to take part in a 30-45 minute telephone interview.

STAGE 3

If you have made the shortlist, the next stage of the process involves a small group interview where we will ask you to take a written assessment. This is designed to test your level of geographical knowledge, attention to detail and company awareness.

STAGE 4

The fourth and final stage involves a tour of the travel centre and a formal one to one interview.

After each and every stage of the recruitment process we endeavour to respond either by telephone or by post within 7-10 days. We believe that it is essential that potential candidates are kept well informed every step of the way in their application to work for Trailfinders.
